Anw, this is how the salad ended up! Gross? haha. It sure is to many others. But to me, its nowhere near disgusting! We started off boiling potatoes for about 45mins. Next, she smashed the eggs while i skinned and cut the boiled potatoes into smaller pieces. In comes the mayo after that and the rest is history. We chilled it in the fridge before eating our 'masterpiece'. While eating, we decorated the kites, penning down our thots on them. I must admit though that the salad wasnt one of the best i ever tried! oOps!
Finally, it was time to set off! I packed my bag and we set off on our Journey To The West. She offered to swap bags and i ended up carrying her bandbag! Hell no did i feel awkward, instead, my heart was smiling! It was such small little things that has such a BIG effect on me! The bus finally arrive and in an hr, we reached our destination! It was 5+ pm. Luckily for us, the weather was so beautiful despite witnessing thunderstorms over the past few days! We managed to find ourselves a nice spot without trees and began testing our kites. We tried the power ranger kite first and it was a disappointment. Upon closer inspection, there was actually a flaw in the construction of the kite! The 'spine' had broke. It was beyond repair and we turned to the teletubby kite...
After fitting the strings, we tested the 2nd kite. She held onto the line and spool while i held on the kite several metres away. My heart was pounding with excitement at that time! Along comes a gust of wind and i released the kite into the air. Lo and Behold, it flew up up into the sky! What a beautiful sight! It soared like a bird flying freely high up in the sky! SHE was v.excited too by the look on her face. She began running around with the spool in her hands. I still remember the look on her face, her eyes sparking as they followed the free flying kite hovering high above us. She then passed the spool to me and at that instant, i experienced the magic of kite flying! Standing on earth yet able to control a kite so HIGH above me really makes it all worthwhile. Of course, what goes up must come down, and the kite came up and down several times while me and HER took turns to 'revive' the kite. At last, the kite max-ed out and decided not to fly ever again.
Despite our efforts to patch up tears on its body, it decided to call it a day. No complains at all since it cost only $1! In fact, i believed it brings more then $1 worth of fun! THe fact that SHE was there as well makes it priceless! After packing up, we made our way to a shelter and decide to pen down a message in a bottle. Earlier, she thought of the idea of penning down messages, slip it into a bottle and tossing it into the open seas. She had read somewhr that a couple done the same thing and recovered the bottle 20 yrs later! So now its our turn! She wrote her hopes and dreams plus some messages with hidden meaning (which till now i still hafnt figured out), while i wrote down my hopes and dreams for the coming years. No prizes for guessing, but SHE was right on top of my wishlist!
After writing down the messages, we slipped it into an old bottle of mine and she tossed it into the open seas... In it, i too included my email address, my address and hopefully one day, someone would return it back to US. I would like to think of it as some romantic stuff couples do but i wonder if she thinks the same way as i do...
After that, we went to MAC to have dinner. I was really famished by then as all i had was salad the whole day! I wolfed down a burger and that left me pretty full up by then. Following dinner, we went to the playground. There was a HUGH structure and we called it the spider web, simply because it looked like one! She had never climbed such a 'thing' before and was naturally feeling a little scared. After a while, she decided to prove she was not afraid and she climbed all the way to the top! Always acting tough as usual!
At the top, she made me sing a song and i suggest we sing a love song she liked - Way back into love! It was the first time i sang a whole song and i hope she's pleased! It was the first time i sang with and to a girl and i hope i can sing to her, and with her everyday! Minutes later, i kissed her on the cheeks and that sent my heart racing! To me, that was one of the sweetest moments! Hope she felt the same way too.
Before heading home, we went through an 'obstacle course' and she looked flimsy! haha. She looks cute with the bag, balancing on the ropes at the same time. Should have taken a pic of her but again, im always not camera ready! =(
Anw, time flies whenever im with her and soon, its nearing 10pm. Although i already spent almost 12hrs with her, i felt that it was never enough! Sounds greedy huh? haha. Yup, and so, we took a bus on a long long journey back and as usual, i sent her home since its already so late at night. On the bus, i tried to hold her hand but she seems unhappy about it. Wonder what was on her mind then.. I then tickled her hand and she smiled a little. For me, seeing her smile was enough. =) By the time we reached her home, i was deadbeat considering the fact that i was up 6.30 that morning. By the time i reached home, i hit the showers and fell straight into a deep sleep the moment i lay my head on the pillow! Without a doubt, in my mind, were pictures of the beautiful times i spent with her!
