Hi Diary, sorry for neglecting you for the past one week as my internet connection was terminated... Somehow, i managed to make it through and most surprisingly, im no longer single when my internet came back to me! =) The date was 14th Feb and you would probably guessed it. Yup, its vday and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable days in my short life so far.
Days leading up to the VID (very important day), i was starved of ideas literally.. Even though ah gui reminded me like weeks ago, i couldnt come up with anything concrete! As the day draws nearer, i kinda panicked. haha. Sorry for being so last min, piglet! Things then took a turn for the worse as internet deserted me. It was hell as i could not do 'research'! My only sources were at the airport. Luckily for me, i was not caught! Dozens of ideas came and left and i spent much of my time at work working out something. Many offs soon followed as i began making preparations for the VID. It was the first time i ordered flowers and i realised prices doubled on v.day! Refering to stalk meanings as provided by URBAN, i ordered 3 stalks. Then, i was afraid SHE would think its too small a bouquet.
14th Feb soon arrived and i woke up early that morning. I had planned a little surprised for her at her doorstep by leaving a fake bouquet and a letter. In the letter, was a card and a hand-made card ( my art's improving!) Attached too was a clue of the place to meet later that evening. I initailly thought that the clue would leave HER something to be occupied with for about half the day but SHE 'googled' and got the answer in what, 5mins?? Earlier, i had fears that she would see me but when i reached, her door was shut! Phew, what a relief.. I then tip-toed my way quietly to the front door and placed the 'package' quietly beside a flower pot. A series of texts soon followed as i told HER an angel visited her! haha. SHE got the 'msg' and i saw HER opened the door to collect the package from a spot hidden from her view. Hopefully, she's pleasantly surprised!
Next, i took a bus down to P.S to get the chocs. Few days before, i was shopping with my friend when we came across the booth. After that, i went down to NE1 to book tickets for Songs of the Sea (in casae they were sold out) and 'toured' Sentosa for an hr or 2. It has been quite a while since i last visited the place. I realised Sentosa has changed much ever since 2-3 yrs ago? After that, i went back to eat my first meal of the day at 2 before heading home to catch my much needed sleep, conserving my energy for the VID!
When i awoke, the time was 4.45pm. I took a shower before making my way to TPY to collect the flowers. I had decided to surprised her with REAL flowers as i had told her earlier in the letter that roses were all sold out! At 6.10pm, i arrived at NE1 and presented her with her very first bouquet! The smile on her face was really something you would work hard for. =)
We then proceeded to Pasta Mania for dinner before heading off for 'CNY shopping'! And off to Sentosa we went. The time was 7.40 and i looked anxiously at my watch. Songs of the Sea was scheduled to start at 7.45pm! We hurried to Beach Station and made it just in time for the show. It was a pretty sight with the laser shows and singing. Fireworks lighted the night sky and she got a shock when it exploded! haha. A hilarious sight to see her jumping out of her skin. =x After the show, we took the skyride as she chose 'SLOW'. It was quite scary as only a bar and few peices of wood supported the both of us, our legs dangling in mid-air! It was a quiet affair and i dare not do anything that would create an awkward atmosphere. Following the ride, we hit the beach closest to the beach station.
In a while, we found a nice spot on the sandy beach before settling down. We then shared the box of chocs (1st time i shared chocolates with a girl!) and it was the 'sweetest' choc i ever tasted! The mango one was really special! It was a really cool night as the sea breeze blew gently while waves rushed up the shores. Stuff you would read only in storybooks huh? =) But this time round, it was real! Out of the blue, she suddenly took a letter out of her small pouch and passed it to me. I was surprised as i wasnt expecting her to give me anything. In it, was 2 letters. One pink and one white. At that moment, my heart was racing. All kinds of thoughts ran through my mind! Apparently, the pink letter was a lyrics sheet she wrote from a love song which represented her feelings. Upon hearing the song and reading the lyrics, i began to smile real WIDE inside my heart. However, i dare not think too much, prefering to hear it from her mouth instead. The song titled Never Say Goodbye...
Soon after, i proceeded with the white letter and it was not as sinple.. I was confused with what was written... She had written down her heart -felt thoughts abt us and upon reading it, i intially thought she was going to say 'im sorry jeremy, but you're not the right guy...' I waited and waited and waited and alas, she did not say those words! I was relieved and delighted! For the first time in my life, i was taking a step out of the life of single-ness.
At that moment, i do not know why, but i inched closer to her while she did likewise... I couldn't believe what is happening, but im happy it did! =) Slowly but surely, our lips touched and i finally understand what is it like to kiss the girl you love! Especially so when its the first time i ever lock lips! It was magical! The way it happened too, was as if it was taken straight our of a romantic script. The sandy beach, starry night, cool sea breeze, fireworks and lastly, YOU! It lasted serveral wonderful minutes and guess i shall not share the details with you mr Diary! Just one that i'll only share it with HER.
By then, it was already 10+pm and time for her to return home. We took a train to hougang interchange before walking her home since last bus was already gone. On the way, i keep wishing and hoping the road to her home will not end. At that moment, i realised i had forgotten to pass her her v.day gift! What a muddle-head im! I told her to shut her eyes before putting on the necklace i had bought for her. Couldn't really tell from her expression if she really likes it. I had earlier spotted it at the airport weeks ago and pondered v.v.vlong whether to buy it. She then gave me the best gift ever by kissing me on the lips! It sent me straight to 7th heaven! I hugged her so tight afraid of losing her one day. After that, i see her home before cabbing back and slumping into my bed looking back in disbelief at what has just happened. That night, i kept thinking and reflecting the scene over and over again before finally falling into the sweetest sleep in my life with a smile on my face.
